Playing in the sand
This was done for an art swap. I sent it to an artist in Texas and she sent me one of her pieces in exchange. I had to wait a year for hers to come, but it's quite lovely. I don't think I would do another art swap though.

Heidi and Dan
11x14" Acrylic. I was so happy that she loves it! It's a surprise for her husband for their anniversary in October.

Acrylic horses
My hubby was away on a fishing trip last weekend with our son. My daughter and I stayed back and had a great time, playing together and riding bikes. When she fell asleep on the sofa after all that fun, I thought I would get out my paints. I had just painted a detailed double portrait, and I just wanted to enjoy myself doing something quick and very undetailed. I did these two 3x5" mini acrylic doodles that afternoon.

STATUESQUE
Sketched last weekend sitting next to my son who was sick.
I think he really appreciated that I was close by and quiet.
I saw this in a magazine and loved the pose, so I used it to draw from.
It's a little rough, but I like the art deco feel to it. And I LOVE this dress!

Abby and Hannah~~a friend's nieces (twins)
Abby and Hannah
for a friend
These photos make the drawing look a little washed out, but in person you can see that I added a little pink pencil crayon and chalk smudged here and there.
I invite you to check out my website. I just got it up and running, and I'm pretty proud of it. :0)
